Should I go with Laminate, Vinyl, or Hardwood?

For most people, we recommend laminate or vinyl due to their affordability and quality options. Vinyl, being more durable, water-resistant, and with improved designs, is increasingly popular. Hardwood or engineered wood, while premium and aesthetically pleasing, is sensitive to scratches and may not be ideal for homes with young kids.

Can Laminate Flooring Get Wet?

Yes, but minimally. It's not a big deal if a little bit of water drops on your laminate planks as long as it's quickly wiped and cleaned up. However, if water sits there for a significant amount of time then it will seap in between the planks and ruin the planks. If you are concerned about wetness, then you should instead install Vinyl planks.
